Adding Schema.org Markup

Schema.org creates a structured data markup schema, which is supported by most major search engines. Adding schema markup can help search engines display a richer snippet of your pages in search results. It does so by providing search engines with additional information about the page content, which is then displayed beneath the page title in search results.

Step 1 | Generate your schema markup

Some of your site's content already contains schema markup, such as blog posts and your Wix Stores pages. To generate schema markup for other pages of your site we recommend using this tool. You may also choose to use Google's markup generator. 

Step 2 | Add your schema markup to your Wix site

1 Sign in to your Wix account.

2 Go to your Site Manager. 

3 Click Tracking & Analytics. 

4 Click + New Tool and select Custom from the dropdown. 

5 Set up your Schema.org code:

5 Enter your custom code.

5 Select the relevant domain.
Note: This option will appear only if you have multiple domains.

5 Enter a name for your custom code. 

5 Add Code to Pages: Select which pages to add your code to:

§ All Pages: Click the dropdown to select an option:

§ Load code once.

§ Load code on each new page. Click here to learn more about this option. 

§ Choose specific pages: Begin typing the name of the relevant pages and then click the checkbox next to the relevant page. 

5 Place Code in: Select where the canonical URL is placed in your site's code:

§ Head (Recommended)

§ Body - start

§ Body - end
Note: If you're not sure where to embed your code please refer to the third-party's guidelines. 

6 Click Apply. 

Note: You can add Schema.org to static pages of your site. It is not possible to apply these settings to Wix Code dynamic pages or business solution pages (e.g. pages from Hotels, Restaurants, Bookings, etc.).
